Welcome to Sam Baker Photography

I am an amateur photographer having developed an interest in Photography in late 2018. Photography became a form of escapism and I was able to combine a newly found hobby with improving my mental health. Since I started, I've developed a style of observational photography, seeking to express emotion, character, and social history through a lens.

My main influence is David Yarrow who often shoots in monochrome and has a style of conveying emotion and detail through Fine Art photography.
 

I currently do not use any camera equipment such as tripods, filters, lighting tools, studios and other lenses. I take pride in my work using just my own imagination without the need for extra props. My only editing is done on the default Microsoft Pictures program.
